With your UAN and other simple methods, you can effortlessly withdraw your PF money. The Employee Provident Fund (EPF) program was established by the government based on the Employee Provident Fund Act of 1952, and it entails monthly contributions from both you and your employer. Since the funds are invested each month, you can use them to create a corpus for retirement and other needs.
While the PF account will change each time you begin employment at a new company, the consolidated EPF account will continue to be identified by the Universal Account Number on the UAN portal. For verifying all of your PF-related information, this 12-digit UAN number is quite important. This number makes it simple to check your PF balance or check the contributions that have been made to-date by the employer. This can be easily executed via the EPFO e-SEWA portal and also via SMS, mobile app, and UAN login.
What is Required for Withdrawing PF Amount?
You can easily and hassle-free withdraw your PF money online. For a variety of financial needs, such as your child’s wedding, higher education, hospitalization or medical emergency, house repairs or renovations, and so forth, you can withdraw PF online. Consider requesting to withdraw funds partially or entirely from the PF account rather than seeking for a personal loan. Your UAN activation and UAN passbook, however, are essential for this process. The following is necessary in order to withdraw PF funds using the EPFO portal:
- UAN must continue to be active.
- Aadhar numbers must be validated and connected to UANs.
- The bank account where you want to deposit the money must match the bank account listed on your Aadhar card.
- Before submitting any claims, you can complete the e-KYC process and upload all necessary information for any updates or changes.
Steps to Withdraw PF Amount Online:
Once you are aware of the amount in the EPF passbook or member passbook, you can withdraw funds from your employee provident fund with ease. For the EPFO portal, you should be prepared with your EPFO member login information. The steps you should take are as follows:
Step 1: Go to the EPFO e-SEWA portal to log in using your password along with your UAN and enter the captcha code given. If you’ve lost this password, you can reset it using the OTP that will be sent to your registered mobile phone number.
Step 2: After signing in, look for Claim (Form-31, 19, 10C, and 10D) in Online Services and enter the bank account number (connected to UAN) while the verification process is being carried out.
Step 3: Cross-check your details and validate the EPFO’s Terms & Conditions. Following that, click Proceed for Online Claim and select your withdrawal reason from the selection. Only eligible alternatives will be presented to you.
Step 4: Enter your complete address, upload details from your passbook or check, and, if you selected the Advance Claim option, accept additional terms and conditions before requesting the OTP (one-time password) for verification.
Step 5: Find the Aadhar OTP- You must request the OTP that will be sent to the mobile number associated with the Aadhar registration after you have confirmed the details and agreed to the terms. You will have filed your claim application when you enter this OTP.
You can quickly check the status of your claim once you’ve submitted it by going into your member e-SEWA portal account and selecting Track Claim Status. In order to compare its own statistics with the information provided in the online form for claims, the EPFO will need your information. After verification, the application will be approved, and the money will be credited to the bank account that is linked to your UAN.
